Handbook containing instructions on ranch management, based on letters written by Henry Miller to superintendents (listed on verso of note attached to inside front cover) of ranches he owned in partnership with Charles Lux. It was compiled for Leroy Nickel, Miller's son-in-law and the general superintendent to be appointed due to Miller's failing health. Includes "seasonal" warnings and reminders, and specific instructions concerning each phase of the Miller & Lux cattle operation. Includes index.
